ELCA Research Workshop: Green City Europe

ELCA organizes a workshop on the importance of green and open spaces in European Towns on May 24th, 2011 in Brussels

The ELCA (European Landscape Contractors Association) wants to create a platform for scientists from all of Europe with the first research workshop in the Committee of the Regions of the European Union.

Key research areas on the topics greenery and health, greenery and micro particle pollution, greenery and town climatology as well as biodiversity in European towns will be presented, but research deficits will also be highlighted and proposals for new continued research ideas will be compiled.

The questions on climate change, the interaction between the biosphere and human health, managing water resources, the conservation of biodiversity, sustainable urban development and designing green areas will be discussed during the research workshop.
